Fighting poverty through education
of the most deprived in Kanji in southern India
Education is one of the key levers for overcoming poverty. This is particularly true for girls, who too often face discrimination and do not receive the same educational opportunities as boys.
" Children of Kanji ", a charity close to Geneva, provides material and moral assistance to the Saint Antony school located in the village of Kanji , in the state of Tamil Nadu, in southern India:
Saint Antony School opens its doors to 1,600 students, boys and girls, most of whom live in poverty, from the surrounding villages.
